Update augmented attributes in tables using actions (Limited Availability Program for Studio) (2024-01-15)As part of the new Studio experience, when you’re interacting with augmented attributes in a published view, you can now update their values in real time. When you select an attribute, a customizable button appears above the table, offering an action to update the augmented attribute. For the instructions, see Actions.
Changes to Extractor Builder (2024-01-12) New Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O template and updates to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud template We’ve published a new template that you can use to create a connection to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, using the OData APIs.We’ve updated the template for connecting to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to correct the data types for a number of columns, which makes them compatible with transformations in the process connectors. To use the templates, when you’re connecting to a data source, go to the Custom section and select the Build custom connection tile, then pick Customize a Celonis Extractor. The documentation is at Extractor Builder.
Coupa Extractor (2024-01-12) Change of primary keys for revision tables Previously the Extractor was using the “id” column as the default primary key for revision tables, which wasn’t right. We’ve corrected it to use the “revision-record_id” column, which means you can properly link and join the parent and child revision tables through this column.Delta loads of the affected child revision tables will fail following this update, because the primary key of the parent table is added in its child table. To prevent this, enable the option Include metadata changes in the extraction settings, or carry out a full data extraction next time in place of a delta load. After that, your delta loads will work correctly again - although you’ll notice a difference in the records they load, because they’re now based on the corrected primary key column. These tables are affected by the primary key change: purchase_order_revisions (parent) and purchase_order_revision_order_lines (child)invoice_revision_records (parent) and invoice_revision_records_invoice_lines (child)order_revision_records (parent) and order_revision_records_order_lines (child)requisition_revision_records (parent) and requisition_revision_records_requisition_lines (child)revision_records_invoiceheader (nested child table of the object)revision_records_orderheader (nested child table of the object)revision_records_requisitionheader (nested child table of the object)
Copy and paste components in Views (Limited Availability Program for Studio) (2024-01-11) When you’re working with the new Studio experience, you can now copy and paste components within and across Views. View components tells you how to add and edit components in the new Studio experience, and what components are available. For all the changes and new capabilities in the Limited Availability Program for Studio, see Studio (new experience).
Removal of Business Miner’s Insights feature on 2024-03-31 We’ll soon be removing the Insights feature from Business Miner. If you use Business Miner but you weren’t using Insights, there’s no impact for you. Business Miner’s Explorations, the question and answer threads that you use to explore KPIs and use cases, aren’t being removed - you’ll still be able to create, edit, and update those like before. From January 17, 2024, you won’t be able to create new Insights in Business Miner. You can still share and use any existing Insights until March 31, 2024. From March 31, 2024, all existing Insights will no longer be accessible. To avoid losing information stored in Insights, we recommend taking a screenshot of the Insight and storing it outside of Celonis. For further assistance, please contact our Service Desk.
Updated default behavior for control access requests for Data Models in Business Minder (2024-01-05)Administrators choose whether users on the team can request access to Data Models when creating a Process Workspace. The default behavior was updated so that users are not offered all of the Data Models in the team unless an admin has set this as the desired behavior. For the Business Miner documentation, see Business Miner.
Shipped Not Invoiced app (case-centric) version 3.0.1 (2023-12-21) Refactored views and Knowledge Model, with custom templates for your use cases We’ve flattened the view architecture by removing base views and reducing the depth of embedded views, so it’s simpler for you to customize the app.In the app’s Knowledge Model, we’ve revised the PQL queries to make them more intuitive to read and understand. The PQL statements are refactored, simplified and reformatted, but the underlying logic stays the same.If you want to deploy the Shipped Not Invoiced app for a related use case (such as unbilled contracts, unbilled service orders, or unbilled stock transfer orders), you can now do so easily with our new templates. The custom object templates and instructions to use them are shipped in the app package. You’ll need to transfer any customizations you made to the views and KPIs that are being removed in this version of the app, to the equivalent views and KPIs in the new version. Updating the case-centric Shipped Not Invoiced app lists the removed views and KPIs and where to apply the customizations in version 3.0.1. To avoid downtime for your end users but still keep your transactional activity history, we recommend that you install the new version separately, transfer your customizations to that package, then copy it over the old package, following the linked instructions.
Oracle Fusion BICC Extractor (2023-12-18) Connect with improved throughput and scope (Limited Availability) We’ve built a new Extractor for Oracle Fusion based on Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC). BICC is Oracle’s recommended tool for large data extractions from Oracle Fusion, giving higher data throughput than the old Extractor that uses the Oracle REST APIs. Our BICC Extractor is capable of extracting all the public view objects (PVOs) that exist in an Oracle instance, where the old Extractor was limited to the Purchase to Pay, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable processes. When you’ve set up the data connection, the Extractor automatically takes care of the BICC configurations using an API, so you don’t need to set these up manually. The BICC Extractor is being released in Limited Availability. To get access as an early adopter, please reach out to your Celonis point of contact. To find out more, see Oracle Fusion BICC extractor.
Create augmented attributes without referencing records (Limited Availability Program for Studio) When you’re working with the new Studio experience, you now create augmented attributes in the Knowledge Model by referencing tables in the Data Model directly, instead of referencing records. They get their own category in the Knowledge Model. You can edit the values of these augmented attributes from within table components in Studio. The old style augmented attributes can’t be used in the new Studio views. For all the changes and new capabilities in the Limited Availability Program for Studio, see Studio (new experience), and the new augmented attributes are documented there in Augmented attributes.
JDBC Extractor version 2.88.1 (2023-12-13) Extract Oracle tables in parallel (Beta release) This version of the JDBC Extractor includes the Beta release of Oracle Smart Extraction. The feature is shipped disabled. If you want to try it out, we recommend that you do so in a sandbox environment. If you choose to switch Oracle Smart Extraction on, we'll parallelize extractions of larger Oracle tables using one of three smart strategies (chunking based on the primary key, chunking based on the row ID, or selecting from partitions), depending on the table structure. We hope you'll see a significant reduction in your data extraction times, like we did in our testing. To get Oracle Smart Extraction enabled, talk to your Celonis point of contact or create a support ticket.

Custom Monitoring version 2 (2023-12-08) Operational dashboards for end-to-end data pipeline insights We're introducing new dashboards to help you oversee your data pipelines, data consumption, and Replication Cockpit workload more effectively. The Data Pipeline Monitoring dashboard shows the end-to-end performance of your data pipelines, including Data Model loads. You can view your data pipeline executions from the perspective of data jobs or tasks to get better visibility into how the items relate to each other. The Data Consumption Monitoring dashboard shows how each table contributes to the overall data consumption, and how it's changed over time. The dashboard now also matches tables in global Data Connections to the Data Pool that they’re being stored in.The Replication Cockpit Monitoring dashboard lets you track your changing workloads and drill down on anomalies to optimize your replications. The Data Models for monitoring now load more quickly and reliably with adjustable Data Pool parameters and performance enhancements to the transformations. For instructions to install this version of Custom Monitoring or upgrade from an earlier version, see Monitoring of Data Pools.
Process Adherence Manager (2023-12-07) Compare your actual and ideal process flows Process Adherence Manager is now in General Availability status. Process Adherence Manager and the Multi-Object Process Explorer are the evolution of Process Sphere, which was announced at Celosphere 2022. To get access to Process Adherence Manager, you'll need a Celonis license that includes object-centric process mining. If you do have the Data > Objects and Events option in the Celonis platform, but you can’t see Process Adherence Manager in the navigation menu, or you don’t have the permissions to use it, check with your Celonis point of contact. Process Adherence Manager enables users to identify value opportunities comparing their event data against an ideal process flow in a guided way. It combines mining, modeling and conformance analysis in one single user interface. Process Adherence Manager uses the event data from the Process Intelligence Graph to analyze whether processes run in accordance with the defined process flows, evaluating the significance of all deviations in terms of impact on the overall process performance. At the same time, Process Adherence Manager uncovers and identifies the root causes behind any such deviation. To find out more about Process Adherence Manager, you can check out this video, try out a demo, and read the documentation.
Control access requests for Data Models (2023-12-07)Administrators can now choose whether users in the team can request access to Data Models when creating a Process Workspace. By default, users are offered all of the Data Models in the team, with an action to request access, which sends an email to the admin. If you disable access requests in Admin & Settings, users creating a Process Workspace are only offered the Data Models that they already have access to. A user with the Analyst role and the MANAGE_GENERAL_SETTINGS permission can also enable or disable access requests. For the documentation, see Creating a Process Workspace.
Enhancements to language support in Studio (2023-12-07) Use the new Add language button in the package settings to enable any of the ISO-639 recognized languages for a Studio package, enabling users to view your package in that language where translated content is available. The new languages are partially supported, which means they’ll only be used in the scope of Studio, packages, and assets. The rest of the Celonis platform supports the nine languages that were supported previously (English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Spanish). The missing translations dialog now groups the generated translation keys by the type of source they were extracted from (such as a table, KPI, or event log). We’ve also put in a search capability so you can find keys more easily, along with some other usability improvements. We’ve added a dropdown selector in the top navigation bar for end users to pick their preferred language for an app’s UI. The dropdown includes the languages that you’ve enabled in the package settings, including any custom translations that you create. If a user doesn’t pick a language, we’ll default to the preferred language given in their user profile.
Manage permissions for your Process Workspaces(2023-12-04) You can now choose who can use, share, edit, delete, or give others access to, each Process Workspace that you create in Business Miner. In the context menu for the Process Workspace (the three vertical dots), select Manage Permissions to change the permissions for other users, groups, or applications. You'll need the Analyst role in the Celonis team - users with the Member role can't access this function. As the creator of a Process Workspace, you have all the permissions on it by default. You can give users with the Member role permission to use the Process Workspace to create Explorations and Insights, and to share the Process Workspace with other users through the Share buttons. You can give any of the permissions to other users with the Analyst role - other Analysts can't edit your Process Workspace's settings or manage the permissions for it unless you let them. For the documentation, see Permissions in Process Workspaces.

Last month to migrate from Process Analytics to Studio Analysis (October 2023) Studio Analysis is replacing Process Analytics. If you’re still using Process Analytics, migrate your analyses to Studio Analysis this month, as explained in Migration Steps. We’re removing access to Process Analytics on or after October 31, 2023. You’re likely to have Process Analytics on your EMS team if you became a Celonis customer in April 2021 or earlier. If you don't have Process Analytics on your EMS team, or if you are on Celonis 4, no action is required. To check, look for the Process Analytics icon in the navigation bar. Process Analytics and Studio Analysis have the exact same look and feel, so you can resume working with your analyses in Studio without any additional training. Studio also has the latest capabilities and user experiences in app-building and automation. See Process Analytics vs. Studio for a feature comparison and tips for Process Analytics users.
Changes to Business Miner (2023-10-31) Share an Insight or a Process Workspace with users outside your team Users of Business Miner can now share an Insight or a Process Workspace with anyone by providing their email address in the sharing dialog. Users who are Admins can add that user to the Celonis EMS team right away. Users who aren’t Admins can generate an email request to the team’s Admins with their justification for adding the new member. When an Admin approves the request, the recipient gets an email with information on the asset that’s being shared with them. An Admin needs to enable this feature in Admin & Settings before users can access it, then configure the email notifications. If you don’t want your users to make these requests, you can leave the feature disabled. See Sharing with non-EMS users for more information.
Workforce Productivity (powered by Task Mining) (2023-10-31) Custom labeling for your Task Mining data (Limited Availability) You can now create custom labels for your processed Task Mining data, to apply your own readable and meaningful application and screen names. Use our no-code label editor to create and manage your labeling rules. We've also reduced the number of default labels, and reformatted and reviewed them for quality. Custom labels and the no-code editor are in Limited Availability status. You'll need to create a new project to get the capability. If you want to try this feature out, get in touch with your Celonis point of contact. For the documentation for Workforce Productivity (powered by Task Mining), see Task Mining.
Control analyst access to Action Flow assets - Limited Availability (2023-10-30) You now have the option to control which analysts can access Action Flows to view, edit, and activate them. When you request activation of this feature, we’ll remove access to Action Flows for users with the Analyst role by default. You can enable access for the users or groups that you want in the Action Flow section of the Permissions pane in Admin & Settings. Users without access can't see Action Flows, and can't activate Action Flows, though they can still publish a package that contains them. Users with the Admin role always have access to Action Flows. This option is in Limited Availability status. If you’d like us to activate this solution in your team, ask your Celonis point of contact.
