Edit the 'Active until' date for invited users (2024-03-27)

 

You can now edit the 'Active until' date set for any users invited to join your Celonis Platform team but who haven't yet accepted the invitation. When viewing your existing users (available by clicking Admin & Settings - Users), you will now see an editable date selector. Once this date passes, the invitation expires and any attempts to accept the invite are denied.

Within your linked documentation it is decribed that Active until date is used to lock an active user automatically after the set date. Which for me makes sense as it is called "Active until"

 

You are describing that the selected date is impacting the invitation time.

We are currently struggling with your preset of 14 (in my opinion it is 30 days) after an invited user gots automatically deleted.

Sometimes the users are on vacation or something else and do not directly activate their accounts. And then they get deleted which is causing confusions and frustration about the tool. And for us admins it is a pain as we have to recreate them and check which group assingnments etc. the user had before.

Hi Dennis,

 

the feature only impacts users that were originally invited with an active until date (Consultants for example). This new option allows the admin to extend the duration of the Consultant if they need an extra week.

The "Active until" feature is primarily utilized when I send an invitation to a user, providing the option to activate the link for accepting the invite. If the user attempts to accept the invitation after the specified "Active until" date, they won't be able to as the link would have already been deactivated.

What happens with this set Active until date after the user has accepted the invite?

Does it have any impact on the Active status of the user? Will it still be shown somewhere or does it get deleted after invite acception?

Once the user accepts then the status will change to Active if not it wil be confirmation pending. Suppose if the user try to accept the link after the Active until date he wont be able to access you should share a new link at that time.
