Case_key count including & excluding certain activities

Hi Community,Hope everyone is staying healthy.I would like to build up our KPI statement but am having trouble making the formulas work as they should.I would like to count certain activities from the activities tables, but also exclude certain cases if they also pass through for example Changes to Document activity.For example:COUNT(DISTINCT CASE WHEN (ACTIVITIES.ActivityEN = Start of FI Non-Compliant Approval AND ACTIVITIES.ActivityEN != Changes to Document)THEN CASES."_CASE_KEY" ELSE NULL END)When applying the above formula, i get the same result regardless if I included the the "!= Changes to Document or not.I have also tried using a PU_COUNT formula but receive an error message:PU_COUNT_DISTINCT (CASES.ACTIVITIES.ActivityEN) IN Start of FI Non-Compliant ApprovalAND PU_COUNT_DISTINCT (CASES.ACTIVITIES.ActivityEN) NOT IN Changes to DocumentTHEN CASES."_CASE_KEY" ELSE NULL ENDPlease help.Cheers,Anna

Procure to Pay Model question on multiple processes - Best practices / Recommended approach

The PTP model which we are working on has several major processes such as Standard ProcurementStock Transport OrdersDrop Ship purchase orders (originated from Sales orders)Returns Purchase ordersInter-company purchase orders etc.International purchase orders etc. In order to see these processes separately under Celonis IBC cloud., we can develop Custom transformations. However we want to understand what is the best practice or recommended approach. To elaborate the question - Let us consider example of one activity Create purchase order item Is it recommended to create multiple activities - one for each process such as Create standard purchase order itemCreate stock transport order itemCreate Drop Ship purchase orders itemCreate Returns Purchase order itemCreate Inter-company purchase order itemCreate International purchase order item etc. OR Is it recommended to just use the common activity name Create purchase order item for all the above processes and use attributes such as docume

Component Filter: Crop Process

Hi,Id like to create a component filter to filter a dashboard sheet and its KPIs for a Subprocess.E.g. our KPI Touchless Order Rate should only be calculated for the subprocess process start to create delivery.I can get the right result, if I use the crop selection but I want to have this as a component filter.Can anyone help me with the right PQL filter formula?Thanks ,Carina

Complicated OLAP table using variables, pulls and date calculations

Hi Team,I have a rather complex OLAP table that I am looking to build and need your help. Its a two step issue that I am hoping that someone has some guidance.Part 1.We have a table in the back end that contains pmt term information. We have ranked the payments terms from 1 best to 30 worst. I have also created a drop down variable for the user to be able to select 1, 2, or 3.Essential, what i need to happen is, based on the current payment term that we have for the invoice, if a user selects 1, in the variable, then the next best pmt term will be populated in that column. if they select 2, then it would skip to the 2nd better pmt term that is on that list. so on and so on.image697258 7.47 KBCan you please advise if you can help me solve this issue.Part 2:Given that the first part can be done.The next part would be to calculate the days difference between the net due date of the original pmt term and the new payment term net due date. Using “LIKE” in Process Functions as CALC_THROUGHPUT

Dear Colleagues,I have a problem: I am calculating days with CALC_THROUGHPUT function. For some events I need to use LIKE function. But As I see, it is not possible to use one, only in func. FILTER or CASE WHEN. But How to apply event in CALC_THROUGHPUT when you need to cut a part of name?For example.AVG(CALC_THROUGHPUT(FIRST_OCCURRENCE[Event1]TO LAST_OCCURRENCE[Event2:%],REMAP_TIMESTAMPS(EVENTS_EVENT.EVENT_DATE, DAYS)))Or maybe it can be done by another function of Celonis.Thanks

Data model loading Case table along with Activity table

Hi Team, I got doubt while loading data model. I have created a data model and added only activity table and stated loading from hana to data model. But data model loaded case table along with activity table without adding the case table to the data model. Is the case table loading automatic if we add and load only activity table to the data model?

To get further, we would like to implement ARIBA-P2P data model, but we dont know which is the correct approach to extract the data to Hana. Need to connect Database (HANA/ SQL Sever) to Celonis IBC Sandbox

Hi Team, Greetings! I have a Celonis Sandbox instance (https://ey-in-sandbox.demo.celonis.cloud/process-mining/ui) and we are trying to connect this to HANA DB and SQL Server by providing the credentials but are unable to get the connection working. Below are the details. 1>>The HANA DB is on Azure Cloud, we had selected database type SAP HANA and entered the other details which didnt work and we got a simple error message unable to test the connection . What other configuration needs to be done (please specify the details) 2>> The SQL Server 2012 is deployed on a Windows server system (on Azure cloud), we opened the TCP port 1433 at both the OS level and the Azure level for the same for this but the connection has not worked. Could you please help.Thank you!

Celonis generic error while extracting database table

Hi, I am encountering a generic error support code while extracting data from an Oracle ERP database. Celonis Support ID: 19442d8c-7c0e-4145-a964-85883ac4cfab Any idea on why is this coming and how to resolve this? I have also raised a support ticket but havent received any response yet. Select dates in dropdown

Dear Colleagues,I have the following problem: I am calculating the DAYS_BETWEEN certain events and if they are more than 1 day, it is to be counted in KPI.image89879 5.73 KBThere are exceptions to this standard rule for month end closing period. I would like to list those dates (or allow users to select them accordingly to closing calendar) and if the date of order is for these particular cut off dates, then is it also acceptable.I created a dropdown and even tried to convert it to date, but I think it is kept as string by definition. Is there any other way to include these exception dates?

Average throughput times for two target process flows

Hello,i would like to calculate the combined average time that it takes to move from:Step 3 -> Step 4 (3 days)Step 3 -> Step 5 (5 days)The result i am looking for should be 4 days (for illustration, both process happen once above). Median Function in Celonis doesn’t average middle numbers

The median function in the Celonis IBC appears to not work correctly when there is aneven count of items in a data set. MEDIAN() appears to take the top middle number and display it instead of correctly calculating the average between the two middle numbers to get the true median of the data. Here is an example picture showing the difference between Celonis and Excel. Event logs with multiple rows of data per event

Hello, While testing the upload of several data sets in Celonis, I have encountered the following issue: we dont always have one row the per event. What is the most efficient (and standard) way to write generic scripts to transform an event log that doesnt have one row per event? I encounter the following cases: One row of headers, 2 rows per event: Headers: Event ID / Timestamp Event 1 / Time started DD.MM.YYEvent 1 / Time ended DD.MM.YYEvent 2 / Time started DD.MM.YYEvent 2 / Time ended DD.MM.YY Or even the following: Headers: Event ID / Attribute / Value Event 1 / Event type / CreateEvent 1 / Timestamp / DD.MM.YYEvent 2 / Event type / ClosedEvent 2 / Timestamp / DD.MM.YY I have been able to do some things in Excel but as I want to load bigger files (to work on real cases, not only test samples) this becomes an issue. Is there anything we can leverage?

Ranking the Users based on Date

How can i rank users based on the Date appeared in the table.This table is not a activity table unfortunately.The table has users and multiple date assigned to them and i want to know the Date they first appeared in that table. I can use OLAP table and just use a MIN Function but i also want to show it in a Column Chart. Basically that Column Chart will have a week as dimension and no.of users in KPI.I should be able to differentiate New Users vs Existing for a Particular week. Any Advice Please ?

Filter using agregation

Dear team,We have an indicator related vendors who has been paid with both, MM and FI invoices and we calculate this as a ratio, so far so good.The problem is when we want to provide the list of those vendors for further review, We have the dimension Vendor and one calculated column that states whether the vendor has FI and MM invoices or either FI or MM which we understand is not subject to review and its listed as OKas the vendor has both FI and MM is calculated as an aggregation. Hello everyone,I have a question about quick display of dates in a certain form.There are two date-time fields, A and B. I need to calculate the difference between them and to display it in user-friendly format HH:MM:SS. For example, A = 12:30:05, B=14:20:00, then I want to have 1:49:55.Using the celonis function DATEDIFF(ss) or SECONDS_BETWEEN I obtain a big number like 6595.an I get this time difference in the desired format HH:MM:SS in some natural way, without using tiring formulas like SECONDS_BETWEEN(A,B)/3600 || : || SECONDS_BETWEEN(A,B)/60 || : || SECONDS_BETWEEN(A,B)%60 and so on?Thank you,BestPolina

Olap Tables and layers

Hello,Im trying to use 2 olap tables (one in front of the other) and a button dropdown with two variables and I want that one olap table come to the front layer when I select one of the variables in the dropdown button and when I select the other variable in the dropdown button the other table comes to the front layer again. Hello,I would like to filter a field after comparing it to a variable.The variable value is only a part of the field value, that is why I would like to use the "LIKE % % function.I tried to define % and % as wrapping characters for the variableI also tried to write % and % manually in the component filter formula.( FILTER TABLE.FIELD LIKE % <%=VAR%> %; )None of these worked. Data model - issue

Filter Process Explorer: Display only cases without manual user types

Hi,Id like to create a component filter, that only displays cases in the process explorer that dont have any activity with a manual user type. The result is, that we only see the process, where every activity is automated.I tried:FILTER ISNULL(PU_COUNT(VBAP, activity.user_type, activity.user_type IN (<%=AutoTypes%>))) = 0;but it didnt work. About Vertica SQL in transformation stage

Hi,According to the data engineering track, the Celonis transformation uses Vertica SQL. I searched online and find Vertica SQL website: https://www.vertica.com/docs/9.2.x/HTML/Content/Authoring/ConceptsGuide/Other/SQLOverview.htm?tocpath=SQL%20Reference%20Manual|_____1I follow the Vertica SQL examples and syntax, but for some examples, I cannot execute them in Celonis transformation statement editor part.
