This month, we're bringing powerful new capabilities to the Celonis Platform. For analysts, new tools like the SQL Sandbox and global transformation parameters will streamline data modeling. Additionally, users can now more easily explore their data with a new world map layout added to the Network Explorer. Finally, users can now manually create task actions directly in Studio Views to flag instances where processes require human judgment.

ADMIN
OAuth for on-prem clients
To enhance the security of our on-prem clients (OPC), we have added support for the OAuth 2.0 protocol as a more secure authentication method. This protocol allows you to rotate OAuth client secrets and control the scope of permissions. Existing installations will continue to run until the deprecation of application keys by December 31, 2025. New installations will automatically have OAuth 2.0 enabled by default.
DATA INTEGRATION
Partitioned extractions of large tables
This update makes it possible to use partitioned extractions of large tables when extracting data from your Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, and JDBC databases. This allows you to chunk your data jobs into smaller batches, which can be extracted either in parallel or sequentially. This reduces extraction time and limits the chances of failure caused by high data volumes.
PI GRAPH
New SQL Sandbox for testing transformation data in OCDM
A new SQL Sandbox in the Objects and Events module allows you to safely test and validate your transformation data without impacting your source tables. Previously, data could only be validated by creating new objects and transformations for testing or by using objects in an existing transformation and then removing the SQL expressions before saving.
Global transformation parameters
These enhancements allow you to create global parameters, which can be used across all transformations in Objects and Events. This reduces the multiple recurring steps and clicks when creating and updating local transformation parameters.
PROCESS ADHERENCE MANAGER
Variant selection added for individual event logs
Now, you have the ability to select the number of variants that display for individual event logs. This gives you better control and more flexibility compared to the previous single slider that controlled variants across all event logs in a model.
STUDIO VIEWS
World map layout added to Network Explorer
The Network Explorer component in your Studio Views can now be configured with a world map layout. This component allows you to examine how objects are related across your business. By choosing different node dimensions, you can explore your object-to-object relationships by country, plant, material, or distribution and the KPI to display for each object.
Manual Task Creation
You can now use a new Create Task action in Studio to create manual tasks alongside your automations.
This is useful for situations where a process requires human judgment or input that automation can't provide. For instance, if your automated system only flags new customers with a deal value over $100k, a manager can create a manual task for a promising customer with a lower deal value. This makes sure that opportunities aren't missed just because they don't fit the automated rules.
