Hi Team,

I have a conceptual question here. We are importing data through flat files from 3 different souce systems namely : MDG, ECC and PLM. Need to identify a field which can be taken as a common reference which will further help in defining Case key for the process. The process is around Order to Activation of SKU in SAP..

Any help would be much appreciated, or someone who would have dealt with similar use case. Eg : in a generic P2P process, #PO Items could be used as 'Cases' across the flow, trying to identify something similar in my current process.

Hi Vidushi,

the obvious answer seems to be the SKU number itself. Is there a mapping on how to join these 3 different source systems (which are the foreign keys)?

Even though you might not have the same "CASE KEY" for all the 3 source systems, you might have foreign key among those tables to connect the 3 of them.

If you share further info about your use case, it can be more helpful.

Best,

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

Thankyou so much for your response!!

While SKU number makes the most sense for being the Case ID, we are yet to go through process walkthrough sessions. The data that I shared with you is what we understood from a kickoff call with the client. We will be getting into requirement gathering phase soon and will be then able to share more info.

Appreciate your help on this!! :)

Many thanks

Vidushi

Hi Vidushi,

sounds good. You can find within the partner portal further material on how to frame the requirements properly.

Best,

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

PFA process flow for the BOM Creation process I was talking about earlier.

We are only focussing on Finished goods (FG Z001) items.  Would SKU code (FG) could be considered as a unique ID across the process journey here? Although I understand we would need to define foreign key relationships to some other tables.

What tables do you think we could utilize for creating the data model? I think it should be on the lines of STKO, CDHDR, ...etc

Please provide your insights basis your experience. Alternatively , could I also suggest if we could get on a call and talk more on this? Or reach out to someone to have a 1 : 1 session with.
