The limit is 40 characters for naming a ID for a KPI, however the same may differ from case to case i.e. if I was creating a View it would save more than 40 characters but does start throwing an error at some point with respect to not being able to create the view

As based on the same I can convey to my clients.

You should see an error message when trying to fill the field with more than 40 characters, kindly find attached screenshots
