Hello Celonis team,
In IBC Process Analytics, Is it possible to hide or unhide an analysis or even entire workspace ?
Over time with continues development of analyses in IBC, workspace might be crowded, and Its getting more and more difficult to the right one to continue work with. Also, sometimes when an analyst present some analysis to the audience, she or he may not want to show all of the analyses to avoid confusion etc.
So, is it possible for analyst and admin to hide and unhide analysis/workspace based on proper authorizations?
Thanks,
Denny

Hello Denny,
nice meeting you. Regarding your hide and unhide analysis/workspace question there are following options:
1.) You can make use of permission to grant only certain users access to a workspace/analysis. This might be a bit tedious for your use case because then you would need to create a separate IBC account, which you only use for presentations.
2.) You can make use of tags and filter the entire workspace by it. Simply click on the Analysis (three dots) and select Tags. There you can create a new tag and assign it to the Analysis. (preferred solution)
If you have any further question, please feel free to let us know.
Best regards,
Jonathan

Dear Jonathan,
Thanks and actually I am aware of the 2 functions you highlighted and I am using them.
However, as you correctly mentioned that I have to do load of extra administration and communication work with my team to make it looks nicer when presenting.
Beside, the Tag doesnt work for workspace. i.e. I cannot use tag to hide/unhide workspaces. While I do want to keep my permissions.
Honestly speaking, I feel Celonis is also lacking of built-in software & content lifecycle management - probably you have it e.g. in on-premise edition, but I dont see it in IBC. E.g. we cannot manage many different versions of the same analysis/workspace or refresh analysis from another one without re-create it with new ID etc. As consequences, there are more analysis and workspace objects created that what I really needed, because I have to duplicate them. This makes simple hide/unhide even more important f.e. I would hide an old version of analysis without delete it.
So, please further consider our requirements, or it would be really nicer for us if you can offer a best practices document on how to manage versioning and staging of IBC workspaces and Analysis to save our time and efforts working with tool.
Thanks,
Denny
