I have gone through the explanation in documentation, but didn't find it to be detailed enough. Can somebody please explain with certain examples ?

Dear Rohith,

Thank you for reaching out.

Kindly be informed that in order to connect a new process, you can make use of our Process Connector library which contains template Data Pools for many different source systems and business processes.

If you want to connect to a specific source system and extract data from it you can create a data connection.

The Extractor Builder is a low code development tool for data connectivity. It allows you to build your own Extractor using a guided interface. Once you’ve created your Extractor with a few clicks, users in your Data Pool will be able to use it as any other native Celonis Extractor, leveraging features incl. table/column configuration, pseudonymization, or custom filtering.

Besides creating a new extractor you have the option to customize one of the existing extractors (e.g.: Bamboo, Ironclad, Happyfox, Jira, Greenhouse, ...) and easily export/import any Extractor that you’ve built with the Extractor Builder from/into different Data Pools or even Celonis team.

Many thanks for your patience.

Process Connector: A process/module specific template that contains the extraction and transformation presets for use for a specific business process (e.g. procurement). It usually contains extraction and transformation logic built in

Data Connection (Extractor): Actual connection between different system and Celonis - can be done using cloud application connector (like salesforce, etc) or on-premise connector(like SQL DB, etc)

Extractor builder: This is specific for offline extraction of SAP data. The extracts will be done in CSV format, and will be uploaded to Celonis
