Do you know whether it is possible to specify the user that will be saved in SAP with the change made through Celonis?

Means you would not have a generic CELONIS_USER stored by the change in SAP but the exact reference to the Celonis user who performed the change like e.g. MAX_MUSTER.

Thank you!

Jan

Hi Jan, thank you for your question.

If a user does not have to input their credentials, the "user" recorded in SAP is simply the "Celonis agent" or whatever that agent username is, it's the same no matter who triggers the action flow. Therefore, there is no way to know which customer employee actually clicked the button to trigger the action.

Current workaround is to just manually create a table that records who clicked the button each time and whether or not the corresponding action flow ran successfully. This is not the best option, however, because someone could easily manipulate this table within Celonis.

Many thanks

Hi Mentor,

thank you for answering this topic. You confirmed my thoughts about it.

Recently, we heart from Celonis that some improvement in this direction is being prepared. Which is great news because this is a blocker for more companies to utilize the full power of write-back options.
