is there a way to migrate Analysis from CPM4.6 to the IBC without pycelonis (at least without pulling from the environment)?
The problem is, that we do not have a way to connect to the OnPremis Environment via python. So it would be nice if there was a way to use e.g. a Transport-File (.ctp) which can be uploaded to the IBC, or at least used with pycelonis from an external server?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Max
Hi Max,
you can find a very detailed documentation on how to migrate from CPM4 to EMS(new IBC)
celonis.cloud/help/display/CIBC/From+Celonis+4+to+Studio+with+CTP-files

Best,
Gabriel
It should be possible to create a transport file in CPM4 and upload that one into the EMS so you should be able to complete the migration without any Python
Hi Kevin, hi Gabriel,
15 Months ago, when I posted this question, there was no such option. As you can imagine, I managed to migrate in the meantime. Thank your both for the reply though.
Best regards
Max
Glad it worked!

Hi community,
I tried the same and followed the instructions from:
https://docs.celonis.com/en/from-celonis-4-to-studio-with-ctp-files.html
The only issue is that while fulfilling step 6 of the instructions I cannot find the data model, that is included in the CTP-File. In step 5 of the instructions the data model name is listed on the right side correctly.
So finally I could manage to migrate the analysis but I did not manage to migrate the underlying data model (and data). All is included in the CTP -File though.
Could you help me?
Best regards
Tobi
hi @tobias.k. ,
Step 1 of this link states that no DM is migrated, just the Process Analytics to Studio.
You need to recreate the DM or install the template from EMS Marketplace (if applicable).
Feel free to visit the Academy course outlining the prep. required for a CPM4 migration.

Thanks a lot for your fast and informative answer Gabriel! :)
May I further ask, why the checkbox "include data" is there (see step 1), if just data model metadata can be migrated?
Best regards
