Is there a way to filter the process explorer based on the selection made on the execution-gaps object or to get the current filter on the view to set the filter for the process explorer.

yes, in the Knowledge model you can determine a filter condition for each Execution gap.

this can then be passed inside views to filter components even entire Profile ViewsSo when you click on the Execution Gap, the Profile View that then opens up will be filtered based on what you determined in the filter statement. All you need to do is to add the process explorer component to the view that opens up.
