I am trying to upload the demo xlsx file from the getting data into the EMS training track. The status of the file has gone to 'succeeded' instead of 'uploaded'. I do not know what this means or how to fix it, can someone please advise me?

Uploaded means that you have preloaded the data into the File Uploader

Now you need to configure the upload and execute it

Configuring the name of the destination table, and what scope. also the schema: which columns you want, their datatypes, etc....

Once you have finished, then click on the Action button to launch the actual upload of the data into the Data Ingestion tables.

BTW they changed the file upload recently. I needed also a while the first time I used this new version

I did configure the upload but I do not have any Action options now, the execution history is in the image below. Where can I find the file if it is uploaded? I am confused and I greatly appreciate your assistance.

That means that was fully uploaded.

It should be in the Data Connection scope and table described in the line

In my screenshot, it wil be in the Global scope, table: "AlquilerCaminos_SQL_Results"

I agree with you that the execution history is not terrible useful :P

It does not seem to be in my data connections as it was called Customer_demo_data and should shown as a flat file type - I think....

Hello @fiona.murph , are you still facing the issue? If you still confuse, let me try explain a bit further.

Celonis has two storage, the vertica SQL and process data engine which run the PQL.

When you perform file uploads, depend on your schema, it will create table at the vertica sql automatically. If you want to preview the data, you have to go to the respective Data Jobs, select the scope or schema and run the SELECT SQL statement under transformations.

Then finally, if you would like to consume it further, kindly add the table at your data model and you may run data explorer to preview the data. At this stage, data also available at process data engine.

Hence the status succeeded is valid. Perhaps a feature request to be able to preview data right at "File Uploads" instead of through Transformation Data Job which cause the confusion.

uploading a file is very confusing. I jus tuplodaded a few CSV files, and the system say all of the uploaded successfully, but still nothing happens next. I don't know what to do. The system says "You don’t have any Data Connections yet" how ever i already uploaded a bunch of CSV.
