Hi everyone,

the company I work at is interested in using the Process Adherence Manager (PAM). We already started setting it up for a first use case. While doing so, we encountered some questions. We would be very happy if some of you could share your experiences with PAM, particularly regarding (but not only limited to) the following questions:

  • How do you handle numerous deviations that might be acceptable in some cases but not in others? Is it better to filter on each variant based on known attributes and break it down by creating multiple PAM instances? Or can it be a solution to create a lot of “allowed deviations”?
  • Is PAM more suitable for complex processes including multiple objects or is it more effective to look at little sub-processes individually? The idea behind this question is that when a large process with deviating variants, the conformance rate tends to be low.
  • Do you have experience if there are any types of processes where PAM is strong at and if there are processes where PAM is not preferred but another Celonis tool? For example: Is it effective with a process with only one object? Can the real advantages only be achieved when analyzing multiple objects?

We are very thankful for every answer.
