Hi Fabian,
Great question, I understand exactly what you're trying to achieve with Process Explorer. While there isn't a direct setting to universally control the initial zoom or pre-filter for all users, we have effective strategies to address this.
Optimize Process Explorer's Initial View
For controlling which events are shown, the most robust solution is Analysis-level filters. You can filter out activities where their primary KPI is 0 by applying a filter to the relevant activity table within your Celonis Analysis. For example, use [KPI_COLUMN] > 0
. Remember to save the Analysis after applying these filters.
Regarding zoom levels, while not universally settable, you can create and share Saved Views/Bookmarks. Manually adjust the zoom in Process Explorer, then use the "Save View" option in the Analysis. When users open this specific saved view, it'll load with your preferred zoom.
Finally, a bit of user guidance goes a long way. Show your users how to quickly zoom with the mouse wheel or use the "Focus on Selection" feature.
By combining Analysis-level filters and saved views, you can significantly improve your users' initial experience.
Thank You !

Hi Siddharth,
thanks for the suggestions. However, I’m not able to achieve the results that I’m looking for. When I implement an analysis-level filter to sort out all activities where the primary kpi is zero, activities aren’t filtered out but simply the next KPI-Group in the list is shown. As I also can’t delete the pre-set KPI groups, how would I be able to truly filter those activities out, where only the primary KPI is zero?
Regarding the zoom levels, the zoom doesn’t seem to be saved with a bookmark. I create the bookmark, save the view open the bookmark again and zoom is back to 6%.
Do you have any further tips for tackling this?
