Good afternoon people !

Searching DOCS.CELONIS and CELOPPERS I didn't find any example on how to configure and run delta extraction with "Trigger-based Schedules".

Please, if someone used the "Trigger-based schedule" in the Delta extraction (of SAP ECC P2P), could you guide me and/or give some configuration example?

Thank You!

Hi @marcos.hirak12,

Trigger-based Schedules means that Celonis extracts data once it receives a trigger (from SAP) that new data is available. This pipeline method is called replication cockpit, which is described on the docs: Replication Cockpit (celonis.com).

If you would like to create schedules with time intervals, please check Schedules (celonis.com).

Hopefully this helps.

Hi @janpeter.van.d , Jan-peter van der Steege.

Thank you very much for his explanation.

However, if it is not uncomfortable for you, would it be possible to configure the SCHEDULE using the "Trigger-based schedule" functionality, configuring an initial trigger of the EMS Schedule itself?

If possible, could you guide me?

I am in a situation where I need to schedule nightly extractions with 2 SAP tables in FULL LOAD mode and the other SAP tables in Delta LOAD mode.

Hi Marcos,

If you want the EMS to trigger the extraction based on time intervals, go to the highlighted section in the screenshot below. It is quite good documented how to set this up, see Schedules (celonis.com).

You will have to setup two schedules, one for your full extractions, and one for your delta extractions.

Hello @janpeter.van.d, Jan-peter van der Steege.

Again thank you very much for your attention, patience and tolerance for your new explanation.

I understood the use of "Schedule based on time intervals".

As I understand it, there is no functionality in the EMS to perform a "SCHEDULE - MASTER" extraction schedule with two SCHEDULES of "Data Jobs" of consecutive extractions, the first extraction of the schedule being "SCHEDULE 1 - Data Jobs 1" configured in FULL LOAD mode and the second schedule extraction the "SCHEDULE 2 - Data Jobs 2" configured in DELTA LOAD mode.

This means that EMS cannot run "SCHEDULE MASTER" with 2 extract schedules one after the other without wasting time between them.

It's right?

When I studied the course "Get Data into the EMS" / "Refine your Data Pipeline" / "Schedule Data Jobs" / "SCHEDULE YOUR DATA JOBS APPROPRIATELY" / "Set up a Schedule" / "Trigger-based Schedules" ( Link

https://academy.celonis.com/learn/course/schedule/schedule-your-data-jobs-appropriately/set-up-a-schedule?client=partner&page=2 ) I understood that it would be possible to perform the "Trigger-based Schedules" starting with "Schedule based on time intervals" and so on would run the next schedules.

Hi Marcos,

Interesting, this functionality is new to me. What I found out is that in the training some items are discussed that are not yet (fully) implementend. It could be that the triggered based schedules are currently in beta, and will be released soon. However, it looks promising.

Sorry I cannot help you further. If you really would like to use this functionality, I would create a support ticket (https://www.celopeers.com/s/flow/NewCaseCreationFlow).

Hi @marcos.hirak12,

Where you able to achieve this trigger based scheduling? I am now at a point where we need a trigger based scheduling and i happened to come across this post :)

Would it be okay for you to share some more details on how you implemented this trigger based scheduling? and also i was not able to find the celonis documentation for Trigger-Based Schedules page that you have added in the above screenshot. It would be great if you could help me with the link for that documentation.

Looking forward for your reply, TIA!
