I am looking into a product portfolio analysis based on SAP OTC data and would like some input and inspiration related to Celonis use cases.
Is the SAP table, VBAP.ARKTX, the correct one to focus on for product information?
Hello @kasper.weber11 , do you mind elaborate further what do you mean by "product portfolio analysis" ? What is your end goal?
The product at SAP (MATNR) also has its own master data from MARA table (basic data) with text table MAKT. The MAKT-MAKTX most of the time have similar value with VBAP-ARKTX unless business define it differently upon transaction. The VBAP is transaction table.
Hi Teuku
Thank you for the reply.
The first task is to create a BI table/overview of the customer portfolio based on SAP data for time period x.
First off it could be a BI/ OLAB table holding information such as customer ID, # of transactions/sales order items and total order value for these transactions.
Second part could be the option to deep dive by clicking a customer in the OLAB table and get information on # of products sold for the given entity.
Let me know if it makes sense.
Dear @kasper.weber11 ,
Then I would suggest to stick with master data which is MAKT-MAKTX instead of VBAP-ARKTX which will give you consistent result. In my current organization we are doing exactly the same as part of customer rfm (recency, frequency and monetary) analysis.
Hope that help and let me know if you have further question.
Thank you for the input. I will focus on the mentioned tables.
Do you know if I can find more information on this type of analysis, customer RFM, through Celonis?
Br
Dear @kasper.weber11 , I dont think Celonis has any app / solution for RFM yet, our solution was develop in house but not based on Celonis (SAP / SAPBW with PowerBI).
A follow up to the above. Been looking into the data set and can see we do not have MAKT-MAKTX. Would there be any issues in continuing with VBAP-ARKTX for this analysis?
Another KPI that could be valuable would be unit price or net value for the individual product. Do you know in which table/field this could be found?
