what are the initial practical steps to take to "Create sap connection in celonis ems"?

I'm in my first EMS project and it was to accompany the DATA ENGINEER activities.

Unfortunately the Data Engineer was not hired and they asked me to take over and I don't know SAP BASIS. I've done the Get Data into the EMS training, but I don't know what the initial practical steps are to do to "Create sap connection in celonis ems".

Does anyone have anything written from "Practical roadmap to "Create sap connection in celonis ems" to send and/or guide me?

Dear Marcos,

 

Correct, you have to generate the key at uplink and keep it for later use during sap extractor setup.

 

OOT but indirectly related, the "sandbox.demo.celonis.cloud" has some limitation you need to be aware. I cant remember the details but best to ask celonis support through ticket.

Personally even before the setup, you have to be clear on high level architecture. How do you plan to connect? How do you plan to setup the uplink etc.?

After receiving access to the client's STUDIO CELONIS, "https://_CLIENT_-sandbox.demo.celonis.cloud", which is without any configuration, and before executing "Step 3 - Create SAP Connection in Celonis EMS" / link "https://docs.celonis.com/en/step-3---create-sap-connection-in-celonis-ems.html", would you confirm for me that in Studio Celonis the first procedure would be in " Admin & Settings" / "Uplink Integrations" / "Connect new system" / Setup "Uplink Integration name" and "Type of remote system" ? So in the "Link Connector Uplink _CLIENT_ to Celonis Cloud" would we have the keys of the "Client ID to your local system’s configuration" and the "Client Secret to your local system’s configuration"? With your guidance, I now have the initial starting point and other technical details steps may also come after configuring "Uplink Integrations" and before running "Create sap connection in celonis ems" in Studio.

May I ask the method of your setting up the Uplink Integrations in the "sandbox.demo.celonis.cloud" please? I am trying to learn the data connection, which is similar to your situation 1 year ago, thanks so much if you can share your knowledge with me.
