Can general ledger process and closing be modelled into celonis ? has anyone observed any process mining use case around this ? My thinking is it might not be possible but still needs your opinion.

Dear Shaif, it is possible because to have it model as process you will need at least case id, activity and timestamp. However, no Celonis starter kit / template available yet, you have to develop it your own from zero. Thank you.

Dear Faruq, Thank you , but my understanding is case id as we know tracks what we want to measure or do mining on like purchase id , salesorder id etc. But in case of general ledger , its a group of document id (sorry if i am wrong ,as knowledge is less here) . Would you be able to tell me what do you think will be case id in general ledger here ?

Anyway in your case I think document number, company code and fiscal year is good candidate for case id. Every financial process have their own accounting document number tied to their company code and fiscal year.

May I know what is your source system? Is it SAP?
