How would I expect this data to be visualised. Would it be as four parallel tasks or in sequence in record order. Does process mining support a parallel split?

Case,Task,Time

1,x,01/01/2023 00:00:00

1,y,01/01/2023 00:00:00

1,z,01/01/2023 00:00:00

1,a,01/01/2023 00:00:00

Hi Gerald,

you can create a sorting column in your activity Table, so when you have such a case, celonis will know, which activity to prioritize first. So when we take this example:

x will get a sorting of 10 for example

y -> 20

z -> 30

a -> 40

@Rashid Laamouri  Thanks! The main point of my question was about a parallel split. If I assign each activity a score of 10, would it generate a parallel split? It seems different tools behave in different ways. This is Fluxicon Disco:

HI Gerald,

such a parallel split is graphically not possible. This will be possible by implementing the new Object centric Process Mining Tool.

Here a link: What is object-centric process mining? (celonis.com)

Fantastic @Rashid Laamouri  Thanks for your help!

Although not tested myself but it is supposed to work in views using the knowledge model too. But required manual configuration. Have not got it working but when I do I will share. @Rashid Laamouri  is correct thou, this will be available in object centric processing mining and process sphere.

HI @sunny.thind, that would be great to know, I am looking forward to your solution. Thank you

There is an example on https://customers.try.celonis.cloud/try/ of the process explorer and knowledge model show casing parallel processes. From memory I think it is manually configured.

Thanks @sunny.thind for the link :)

so definitely possible with multievent log and documentation as follows:

Got it working using transitions in the knowledge model of views. Works very well.
