HI,

I am trying to set up an Activity History. I have been following the documentation but it references the objectid of the activity that we want to use. Where can I find/create that object ID so that it references the activity table I want to show in the activity history profile view?

Thanks!

Hi Timothy,

Hope you are doing Great!!

Please use object ID ${id} and use Activity in activityAttribute also provide recordMetadataId now you will be able to configure Activity History, if you need further help feel free to reach out :)

Inder

FYI, I was trying to replicate this exact situation, and I kept getting errors while trying to use ${id} as an Object ID for the Activity History Component.

I tried a number of different things in order to try and get it to work (which it did, after a good hour), and I am not sure what did it in the end.

One thing that I tried is adding an empty Variable to the Profile View, through the Visual Editor, like so:

I honestly don't know if this is what fixes it, since troubleshooting information seems a bit lackluster.

But if anyone out there is trying to get it to work, maybe this will help..

Hi Vasco,

FYI, Object ID References the object for which the Activity should be displayed e.g., Invoice number, PO Number, SO Number etc. Using ${id} if you are getting the values that means its ok. if it's not working then Please use the name you have given to identify the object.

ok, I DO have questions- I'm having a super hard time making this work. One thing to note - I have multiple event logs. not sure if that matters, but if it does, I do. It seems like it defaults to the event log id that is my default if I make the variable "id" = "". If I let it define the variable ID, it comes up as blank. You can see that I've added the activityAttribute as you suggested. Right now, when I click on the invoice ID, I get a blank profile view coming up... what am I doing wrong??
