My SAP team added new fields to a table that I extract for process mining. My delta loads have been failing. Do I need to initiate a full drop and reload? Will that then pick up these new fields or is there something else that I need to do?

you have two possibilities:

you can change the Extraction Settings from Option A: Standard (Recommended) to Option B: Include metadata changes.

In this case delta loads will include metadata changes. Only delta loaded rows will include data for the newly added columns. All previous entries will have null values for the new columns.

Or (and this is my recommendation) keep Option A: Standard and perform a full load

After that your delta load will work again.
