Hello together,

after I changed the password for the SAP User, which is stored at the Data Connection, Data Load Errors occur again and again.

The SAP user locks itself again and again. Does anyone else have such a problem and knows how to fix it? The password was maintained under Data Connection.

Does the user need to be updated in another place?

Best Regards

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

I could think of two things here:

You have misspelled the password in the data connection. The Celonis SAP user tries to log in with the wrong password. And after several attempts the user gets locked. But here you would not be able to extract data at all.

Another reason could be that you use the old SAP password in another connection somewhere with regular loads that tries to connect and then locks the user after several failed attempts.

Kind Regards

Timo

Hello Timo,

thank you for your answer. I have already checked and refuted your assumptions several times.

My question is more about whether you can maintain connections to SAP in a different place than under Data Integration → Data Connections. If so, the old password is probably still stored there.

In the meantime, I have found out that a connection can also be maintained in the Studio under Packages and Variables.

This could be the solution.

Hi Jonas,

thats interesting I did not know you can create a connection in the Studio variables. Not sure what would be y use case for that, but thats not the point here I guess. But, yes, maybe check all package variables, maybe the old PW is used there somewhere.

Hello Together,

After further research, I noticed that there is a serious bug in the system. Only the user who configures a connection can see or edit it afterwards.

After Celonis configured the connection and I wanted to edit it to change the password, this was not possible.

I had to configure a completely new connection and maintain the new password.

The error is still not fixed. Because of the intransparency, that I as admin cannot see everything, it is difficult to find the place in the system, where the old connection is still maintained.

Best Regards

Jonas
