Hi,
I participated in the Process Mining Expert Program last fall and have a fundamental, technical question about transforming data to create the activity table of a process:
In the process of Data Engineering, according to the training, the Activity Tables are filled with the process activities using the jobs insert. Thereby the eventtimes have to be considered because in case of equal eventtimes of two process activities the sorting number must be used to achieve the correct activity order. So it is important to know beforehand how the processes look like and which activity follows when, right? Or is it possible to create a data model without filling Activity Tables, in which case the eventtime data conflicts have to be accepted but the process still becomes visible to a certain degree?
An answer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Florian

Hi @florian.gerla12,
the activity table is a prerequisite to visualize a process in Celonis. There are several. how you can initially setup the activity table.
- Download an existing process connector from the EMS store
- Iterate through the process by first adding only what you already know about timestamps & activities.
I would always recommend to leverage the EMS store to initially set up a process as you can then include all knowledge from our Celonis community. Most of the times you can find a connector for any source systems and process. If you have another custom process you could also request & exchange on experiences here. So feel free to share the process that you want to implement and probably someone will be able to provide some scripts that you could start with!
Best,
Justin
