Hi Community,

It’s been a while since I had the opportunity to explore Celonis EMS in detail, and while catching up on some of the recent developments, I came across a new asset called “Chain of Thought” in the Studio space.

I’m curious to understand more about this asset and its potential applications, particularly from a Process Intelligence perspective.

I’d love to hear from the community on:

  • What are the key capabilities and benefits of the Chain of Thought asset?
  • In what scenarios or use cases have you found it particularly useful?
  • How does it complement or enhance Process Intelligence within Celonis?
  • Are there any practical examples, learnings, or limitations you’ve encountered while working with it?

If anyone has explored or implemented this asset, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, use cases, and thoughts.

Looking forward to an insightful discussion!

Thanks,
Akshay

Hi @akshay_haridas,

I only used the asset in the preview stage, but in my opinion it is a tool for analysts to funnel down their data to insights that matter.

When using a View to perform your analysis, users press on various filters/graph elements/table rows to slice and dice through the data, in order to find patterns, anomality's and insights. Once you found the insight, the story telling begins: How did you come to this result and why does it matter and/or does it stand out? In my experience, this was a matter of taking screenshots and paste them into a notebook or powerpoint.

With the new Chain of Thought tool, you can make this process and visualization more interactive, making it easier for analysts to structure and share their approach.

I didn’t use it too much yet to find pros and cons, so happy to hear from other members what their experiences are!
