Dear Celonis Community,
One of the things that makes our Community so special is the wide range of voices and experiences that come together here. Every customer, partner, and member brings a unique perspective, allowing us all to learn, connect, and grow by sharing our stories.
That is why we’re incredibly excited to feature @gagan1 in our latest Community Member Spotlight!
An independent full-stack developer and process analyst, Gagan treats the process mining space as a laboratory for testing new ideas and solving complex data flow problems. From building web applications and securing cloud databases to writing custom Process Query Language queries, his work focuses on bridging the gap between data engineering and user-facing dashboards to make business processes easier to understand.
In this spotlight, Gagan shares his experiences within the Celonis Community, what inspires his innovative approach, and how he views the true value of staying connected here.
Here is what he had to say:
What motivated you to join the Celonis Community?
I joined because process mining is a specialized field. In generic software development, you can find answers easily on public forums. In Celonis, the best technical workarounds are hard to find. I wanted a collaborative space where I could study real database issues, learn from global experts, and share my own solutions as I learn.
What do you usually come to the Community for?
I check the forum daily to find unsolved technical questions. I look for issues with query speeds, data pool connections, and the new object centric data models. The community is my research and development lab. I come here to find real process problems that are not in textbooks, write clean code to solve them, and test my skills against live data challenges.
Has there been a moment when the Community made a real difference for you?
The turning point was when community members started marking my replies as accepted solutions for their issues. I do not just focus on raw code. I prefer analyzing the big picture, translating complex system problems, and providing direct answers to queries. Seeing people get the exact clarity they needed to unblock their workflows made me realize that active contribution is the most rewarding way to learn.
Why do you think more people should get involved in the Celonis Community?
Because you cannot master process mining by reading theory. The training courses teach you the basics, but the community shows you the raw reality of messy ERP data. When you help someone fix a query error, you learn how actual businesses run. It is the fastest way to grow your technical skills.
If someone followed your activity, what kind of insights or advice would they find you sharing?
They would find a focus on staying up to date with the latest platform trends, product releases, and AI integrations. While I do share technical tutorials, I mostly love tracking fresh product updates and translating new features into practical tips. My main advice is to always look at the current documentation and keep your systems modern instead of relying on legacy workarounds.
The Celonis Community is…
...a collaborative ecosystem where real people connect to solve operational challenges, turning shared knowledge into collective impact and driving real-world change.
