I want to understand if we can use pie chart color mapping on metrics instead of dimension considering the fact that top metric categories may change in the future.
Currently I can map the color on dimension level. However I want to map it on calculative metrics.
Any suggestions.?

+8I believe the pie chart is special in sense of color mapping.
For other components e.g. a bar chart you can select also Color->Color Mapping and then under “coloring based off values of” in the dropdown you also find “aggregated values”.
For Pie chart it only seems to have the the dimension available.
To be honest I would also not see how anything else than the dimension the pie chart is broken down would make sense to base the color mapping on.
