Hi Celonis team and community,
I’m currently studying Digital Business & Data Science in Germany, and over the past months I’ve been working deeply on data analytics, AI agents, root-cause analysis, business workflows, and automation.
After reading more about the Celonis Platform — especially Process Intelligence, the Context Model, Task Mining, MCP, and AI-agent orchestration — I realized that the direction Celonis is taking overlaps strongly with what I want to build my career around.
I have a direct question for Celonis leaders, hiring managers, Celonauts, and people who joined the company early in their careers:
If you were in my position today and wanted to become a strong candidate for a Working Student or internship role at Celonis within the next 6–12 months, what would you focus on?
In particular:
- Which Celonis skills or Academy certifications would you prioritize?
- How deeply should I learn Process Mining and Process Intelligence?
- What kind of portfolio project would actually stand out to a Celonis hiring manager?
- Which technical skills matter most: SQL, Python, data engineering, process mining, AI/LLMs, or something else?
- What separates an average student applicant from someone you would genuinely want to interview?
And one question I would especially love to hear from a Celonis leader:
If you had 6 months to turn a motivated student with Python, SQL, analytics, and AI-agent experience into someone you would seriously consider hiring at Celonis, what would you tell them to build and learn?
I’m not looking for a shortcut into Celonis. I want to understand the gap between where I am today and the level Celonis expects — and then work systematically to close it.
Any advice from people inside Celonis would be highly appreciated.
